Impact City FC Launches First International Location in Cap-Haitian, Haiti
September 6, 2025
Cap-Haitien, Haiti and West Palm Beach, Florida – July 29th, 2024
Impact City FC officially started it's first international location in Cap-Haitian, Haiti. "We’ve been coming to Cap-Haitien for the past four years, and trained hundreds of coaches in soccer ministry, and they have asked us every year if they could become Impact City FC Cap-Haitien," said President and Chief Executive Officer Aaron DeLoach. "After much prayer, planning and provision, we’ve decided to start our first international location. In order to do this, we've partnered with a local charity called Idadee, and friends from Brace for Impact 46. We've held our first tryouts, hired 7 local coaches for the teams that have been created, and also hired three staff members to oversee the operation from the office. This is another step in our mission to make an eternal impact on the soccer culture in cities everywhere."
Jean Michaël, the new Director of Coaching in Cap-Haitien, believes we're called to share the gospel, and Impact City gives him the opportunity to do just that. "My job is to share the gospel, and Impact City would help me to share it via soccer, and that's an excellent way to share the gospel."
"My vision was to be a soccer player that influenced other players with the gospel; with the quality I have in me and that Jesus is working in me too," said our Club Adminstrator and Coach, Benscheley. "So, I want to show the world that Jesus is greater than soccer."
Brett Jacobs, Director of Coaching Education for Impact City, was able to travel down to Cap-Haitien for the launch, and had this to share about his experience while there, "The country of Haiti is obviously in a lot of transition right now. The poverty and the political situation is incredibly humbling; to see what we have in the US [and] see what they have here. What I see football doing for the people here and the coaches and the kids in the academy and the kids in the area is just incredible. It's been a very powerful movement."
Jean-Marc Alexandre, Sporting Director of Impact City FC, and native of Haiti, was an influential voice in the process of bringing Impact City to Cap-Haitien. Alexandre captained the Hatian National team during his tenured and decorated soccer career, and had this powerful message to share when asked what it meant to have an ICFC location in Haiti, "I believe the academy is a beacon of hope. Hope for a nation right now that's in despair. A hope for a kid that one day their dream of becoming a professional soccer player can come true. A hope for a kid that maybe they can get a chance to play at a college abroad. So I believe that the academy is a beacon of hope In Haiti."
In the last 12 months, Since launching our first international location in Haiti, so many amazing things have happened. Here are just a few:
- We hosted our first ever coaches retreat
- We formed 4 teams with 136 players
- One player called up to the U17 national team
- Sent three U15s to national team camp
- Our GK coach got called into national team
- Saw 36 decisions for Christ at camp
- Cleared land to build our first home
We believe that God will do so much more in this next year. Impact City FC started with a mission to make an eternal impact on the soccer culture in cities everywhere. We are blessed to have the opportunity see that mission become a reality, not just here in the U.S, but in our first international location as well.
