Haiti is the most populous nation in the Caribbean and home to approximately 12 million people. Despite its beauty, Haiti has been plagued by gang warfare, food insecurity, displacement, and economic challenges. Due to the growing danger and lack of resources found within the capital, many people have fled and taken refuge in Cap-Haitien, the second largest city in the country.

As a result of knowing what was happening in Haiti, two years ago we decided to act and launch our first ever international location in Cap-Haitien, Haiti. Because of the generosity of donors and club families, as well as the strategic planning and budgeting within the organization, we were able to create a soccer ministry that goes beyond just soccer. Impact City FC employs a local staff of nine people to serve 86 players, ages 12-17, three days per week. The soccer ministry feeds players, shares the Gospel, creates jobs, and gives real playing opportunities through the club. In fact, this past year multiple players were selected to compete or train with the Haitian Youth National Teams, and one competed at the U17 World Cup.

Earlier this month our President and Founder, Aaron DeLoach, had the opportunity to visit our location in Cap-Haitien with former Haitian National team player and current ICFC coach in South Florida, Jamil Jean-Jacques. They delivered donated uniforms from our Gear for Good Campaign, worked alongside our local staff in Haiti to host two camps in the community, and encouraged our staff and coaches for the upcoming season. Not only that, but during the camps they were able to see God moving in the hearts of the players, as nine of them made a first time decision to follow Jesus!

That includes Cap-Haitien, Haiti. While the need is great, and we can't do everything, we serve a God who is greater, and together as a community, we can do something!
