If you haven’t heard, at Impact City FC, it’s about more than just soccer, it’s about using soccer to reach people with the transformative message of Jesus Christ. One of the amazing stories to come out of our locations this fall is the story of Jayar and his family in Charleston. Jayar began as a club parent and his passion for service and the club has paved the way for him to be a head coach. His journey at Impact City has brought him closer to God, and this fall he and his entire family decided to be baptized as a profound step in their relationship with God.

Jayar had these inspiring words to share about his experience:

“Our life has been truly transformed through our involvement with ICFC. What started as making friends has grown into finding a family. Seeing God continue to work His goodness through the club has been an incredible blessing. One of the most powerful experiences for our family was getting baptized together by Sam Cain (Associate Director of Coaching), a moment that deepened our faith and connection to this community and most importantly our connection with God.

Our kids have also been transformed through this journey. Being around teammates and friends from different backgrounds has opened their hearts and minds in beautiful ways. We truly love ICFC and are committed to continuing to support this amazing mission.”

Sam Cain, who has been serving at ICFC Charleston for 3 years, had this to say about the privilege it was to be apart of this milestone in the Narciso family, "Journeying with the Narciso family has been an incredible privilege. Watching Jayar and the whole family grow in leadership, faith, and involvement has been deeply inspiring and a true testament to God’s goodness. Jayar stepping in as a supportive parent, committing himself to coaching education, and becoming head coach of our U16 boys. Furthermore, seeing Jayar's kids, Jayred and McKenzie, play pivotal roles on their teams and provide spiritual leadership to their teammates reflects exactly why we exist as a club. The baptism of the family in 2025 marked both the end and a new beginning with Christ. It is a powerful reminder to me and to us as a club that we exist to see lives transformed."
