When we started Impact City FC, we began with just a small group of coaches in St. Louis utilizing a very small pool of resources. Over time, God has blessed us with tremendous growth and the ability to design a custom curriculum and game model for every age group. This is now implemented by our over 90 coaches across the country; one of those coaches is Brett Jacobs. Brett began by coaching one of our youngest teams in Salt Lake City, Utah, and will still continue to do so, even though he is one of the most accomplished soccer coaches in the country.

His passion to help kids grow in the game and grow in character drove him to continually get more and more involved here at ICFC. While Brett has traveled all around the world to coach soccer, he decided to travel with our Sporting Director and President to Haiti late last year to help us begin a new location in Cap-Haitien, Haiti. Since then, Impact City President and CEO, Aaron DeLoach, has prayerfully invited Brett further and further into soccer ministry at ICFC, and we are excited to announce that Brett Jacobs is now our new Director of Coaching Education.

‍Brett’s Credentials:

- MLS First Team Assistant Coach: Real Salt Lake, Nashville SC, and Colorado Rapids

- First Team Head Coach: Europa Point F.C. in Gibraltar and Portland Timbers FC (U23’S)

- Pioneering American coach in Europe: One of the first to work within the English Football Association’s Academy system as a full-time coach for Wimbledon Football   Club and later a full-time coach for Portuguese U-18 National Team

- Holder of USSF A license and UEFA B license (with A pending)

- USSF A license Course Instructor

- Winner of the MLS Cup and the Algarve Cup

- Coached in the US Open Cup, the Concacaf Champions League, and the USL Championship Playoffs.

- Director of Coaching in multiple states and current Assistant Coach at Utah Valley University

- Over 25 years of coaching experience across all levels.

As the Director of Coaching Education, Brett will raise the tide of our coaching quality across the board. He will help our coaches understand how to create high-performance training environments, develop players, and build healthy and winning team cultures. He will do so by flying to our various locations and giving on field training sessions for our coaches, while also overseeing coaches education virtually through periodic digital training workshops!
