West Palm Beach, Florida – September 29th, 2025

Impact City FC was privileged to host a conference for the Pro Soccer Chaplains Association (PSCA) last weekend in Miami, Florida. PSCA is an organization that first emerged through discussions back in 2021, but unofficially launched in 2023. Impact City FC is one of 5 founding ministries of the PSCA, and helps to mobilize roughly 80 chaplains to serve over 120 professional soccer teams across the MLS, USL, NWSL & US Soccer. Some of these teams include: St. Louis City SC (MLS), Charleston Battery (MLS), St Louis City SC 2 (MLS Next Pro League), Angel City FC (NWSL), Charlotte Ascent (USL Super League), and the U.S. Men's U20/U23 teams.

Chaplains wear many hats as they walk alongside athletes in their respective professional journeys. Some of the resources chaplains offer to their athletes and teams include:

• Weekly chapels for both home and away teams before games,
• Group bible studies over the course of the season,
• Individual mentorship and discipleship to help players navigate difficult situations they may be experiencing (both on and off the field).

Chaplains from across the country were invited to gather for 3 days in order to build deeper relationships, seek the Lord together, and spur one another on as they continue to serve professional soccer players around the country. The 3 days together were filled with times of worship, reading through God's Word, being equipped with resources to take back to their respective teams, and fellowshipping with one another, which included experiencing an Inter Miami game and watching the best to ever do it - Lionel Messi!

Christ Fellowship Church was an incredible host in providing us with a space to pour into this group of amazing chaplains who spend their time pouring into the lives of professional athletes. Some of the chaplains got to tour Christ Fellowship, which is one of the largest and most thriving churches in South Florida and the U.S, and ask questions to some of the church leadership about how they have found such favor in reaching people with the Gospel.

We also we're able to learn about an exciting project while gathered in Florida that one of the PSCA chaplains is currently working towards. The project is aimed at stationing a chaplain at every level of the national team pipeline. We're so privileged that our President and CEO, Aaron DeLoach, is actively helping to make this goal a reality as he is currently serving as one of two chaplains with the U20 men's national team. Aaron is currently in Chile at the U20 Men's World Cup and serving the U.S. team by providing player care, opportunities for bible study, and leading chapels for this elite group of young players. By God's grace, we've already seen these young men respond eagerly to Aaron's messages and mentorship while away from home.

God continues to give Impact City a catalyzing voice to this growing body of chaplains and players, and we can't wait to see the continued impact this group of people will make on the soccer culture in cities everywhere.
